Welcome to the Monett High School Activities page.
Monett Academics and Athletics have always been, and continue to be, a source of pride in this school and community.  Our Students, Athletes, Teachers, and Coaches are expected to give their best effort to excel in the classroom and on the playing fields.  With the support of parents and community members, those expectations can be met with enthusiasm and passion, and our Students, Athletes, Teachers, and Coaches in the 2016-17 school year can carry on the proud tradition of excellence in Monett R-1 Schools.

Let's have a great year!

Cub Pride Article August 18, 2016 - Message from Daryl Bradley, Athletic Director:

The fall sports season is off and running.  I want to praise the efforts of our coaches and student athletes for all the hard work and time they have put in this offseason.  We should see the fruits of our labor this fall as we strive for conference, district, and state championships.  I am especially proud of the way our student body has come together to support our student athletes at fall sports Pride Night and the football Jamboree.  I’m excited about the continued culture change occurring in our kids.

Promoting sportsmanship has always been a focus for our administration at MHS.  We want to promote an opportunity for a fun, positive cheering experience for everyone.  The students are cheering loudly for our teams without being negative towards the other team and officials.

The Monett R-1 School District is continually trying to improve in everything we do, and athletics is no exception.  The maintenance staff and coaches have worked on several projects this summer to upgrade our facilities.  The girls’ and boys’ varsity locker rooms received a fresh coat of paint on the walls and floors.  Burl Fowler Stadium upgrades include new walk-in awning with lighting, baby changing stations in the men’s and women’s restrooms, and new garbage cans for the stadium.

I want to invite you to sign up for the MHS Athletics reminders.  For the latest information, cancellations, changes, etc., sign up today.  To receive messages via text, text @dbradle to 81010.  You can opt-out of messages at anytime by replying, ‘unsubscribe @dbradle'.

     “Go Cubs!”
